During this time of the year, we hear all kinds of renditions and arrangements of Christmas melodies, Christmas carols, Christmas traditions, etc. Some songs we catch ourselves humming as we’re walking through the mall, working in the office, cleaning the house, riding on the bus, running errands…and certain ones – liked or not – have a way of staying on our mind.
* For brain-injury survivors as well as other survivors of any kind of tough and trying time, which Christmas song brings you some much needed hope during this season of your life?
(To me, the 3rd verse of “It Came Upon The Midnight Clear” stands out – “And ye, beneath life’s crushing load, Whose forms are bending low, Who toil along the climbing way, With painful steps and slow, Look now, for glad and golden hours, Come swiftly on the wing, O rest beside the weary road, And hear the angels sing.”)
Merry Christmas to you!
