I wanted to pass along some words that I received from the police academy
instructor this morning regarding madd’s involvement with the victim
services portion of their training:
Hey Melissa—
Just wanted you to know that the class and I really enjoyed the speakers.
I look forward to having the students meet victims and impact it has on
their lives after their contact at the scene, etc. Please let all the speakers know that we appreciated their time and stories which hopefully will make a change in the future in dealing with peace officers and victims and families. Thank you again.
Cindy
Hi Melissa,
THANK YOU again for lunch this past Saturday! It was cool!! 🙂
Plus, I wanted you to know that I think that was really kind of Cindy to let you know about the speakers and how they actually did help their training! Neat-o mosquito! 🙂
Sweet day to you,
~Patti 🙂
Dear Patti,
It truly was a pleasure meeting you and hearing your story. I’m so happy
you survived such a horrible ordeal. You never know what angel GOD will
have share your journey. He blessed me more than I deserve when he let you
share my journey with me. Thank You for caring and taking the time to
inspire us. Many blessings Pat
Dear Pat,
How’s the journey going for you and your family these days? What’s the update?
Please let me know so I can cover you in prayer.
Also, before I go, let me share a neat quote I have written on a PostIt Note on my desk: “Character is not developed in quiet and ease. Only through experience of trial and suffering can the soul be strengthened, vision cleared, ambition inspired, and success revealed.” ~Helen Keller
Blessings,
~Patti 🙂
Patti,
I have to let you know that Tyler is still talking about you and
wondering how we could have missed hearing you before….thank you SO much for sharing such a beautiful, firm and resolute faith with us. People are still asking how you and I connected….how we found each other…. and I love to answer, “it was a God thing!”
Thank you again….Blessings to you! Chris
Sweet Chris,
God continues to do wonders for His kids! (Hallelujah!!)
I’ll be on my way to DFW tomorrow for another week full of head-trauma-related events. In fact, a Texas A&M student is riding up with me Tuesday so she can attend a TBI Support Group and get to know TBI survivors and professional, medical people who work with them. (She’s majoring in medicine/pediatrics right now, but she’s VERY intertesed in this TBI thing! — YES, Lord!! He’s raisong up more people to work with us, TBI people!)
Idea! How about lunch one day the week of 3/19?
Take care,
~Patti 🙂
